English Assignment

Dear Jeremy Rifkin,

After reading your article "A Change of Heart About Animals" I was at first very interested in all the facts you provided about how animals are just like humans. I had never really focused on animal relation to humans or even read an article on it. So your article was interesting and i learned some new things. But after I finished reading and really thought about... I support what you're for and how animals shouldn't be tested on or made into clothes or anything like that, but somethings i don't really agree with. For example pigs need toys too... NO they don't they're pigs. Apes don't show anything if they can learn something. All that is cool ,but they are WILD ANIMALS. They don't belong in captivity or with toys or even learning sign language. I think you were trying to pull in an emotional tie to the animals ,but you were covering up some valuable information. Animals are not like humans. Apes can kill humans. I'm sure you're fully aware of all those people out there who take in wild animals to be their pets. What usually happens? They get killed by their pet. Lets be truthful animals aren't like humans. We develop differently.
